How to Use the Condition (Decision) Step in Sales Funnels
Important note: The ‘Condition’ step was previously referred to as ‘Decision’.
Creating effective sales funnels is crucial for guiding potential customers through a buying journey tailored to their specific needs and behaviors. SellKit provides a powerful Condition Step feature that enables you to display personalized upsells and offers based on predefined conditions. Here's how you can implement the Decision Step within your SellKit sales funnel:
Accessing the Condition Step Feature
- Log in to your WordPress dashboard.
- On the left-hand sidebar, click on SellKit to expand its options.
- Select Funnels from the SellKit menu.
Adding a Condition Step to Your Funnel
- Within the Funnels interface, locate the funnel you wish to edit or create a new one by clicking the + New button.
- Navigate to the specific stage of the funnel where you want to add the Condition Step.
- Click on the + (Add Step) button located at the stage where the Condition should occur.
- Choose the Condition option, which may be represented by a diamond icon.
Configuring Condition Conditions
- Once you've added the Condition Step, click on it to open the Define a Condition window.
- You will see a dropdown list, where you can choose the condition that must be met for the condition to apply.
- Select the condition relevant to your upsell strategy. For example, if you want to offer a specific upsell to customers from a certain region, you might select Visitor Country.
- After selecting a condition, you will then define the specific criteria, such as the country name or order count number.
- You can add multiple conditions by clicking on + Add Condition if a more complex condition is required.
Continue adding more steps after the condition
Now that you have divided visitors based on specific conditions, you can define separate scenarios for each group. For example, you can display one offer for visitors who have ordered particular products, while showing a different offer to other visitors.
Saving and Testing Your Condition Step
- After defining all necessary conditions, make sure to click the Save button to apply the changes to your funnel.
- It's crucial to test the condition step to ensure it works as expected. You can do this by navigating through the funnel as a user who meets the specified conditions.
- Check to see if the correct upsell is displayed when the conditions are met.
