A dynamic discount is a conditional discount based on the customer’s behavior that will be added to checkout automatically. Dynamic discounts will help increase repeat purchases and customer loyalty.
Since dynamic discounts only apply on the checkout page you need to inform your customers about the discount conditions using smart notices to make your discounts more effective.
How to create your first dynamic discount
- In your WordPress dashboard, click on SellKit and select Discounts from the left sidebar.
- Select the Add Dynamic Discounts button on the right side of the page.
- Continue following these steps until you reach the end.
Step 1: Discount name
The input text box allows you to enter a name. Later, you can use this name to organize your discounts.

There can be different discounts with the same name.
Step 2: Item filters
To apply discounts, choose a product or a category. Adding multiple filters is also possible by clicking the +Add Filter button.

Discounts are applied to all products if there is no filter selected.

Discounts can be triggered by more than 30 conditions. Read this document to learn more.
Step 4: Discount amount
Set the reduction amount in price that will be applied to the original product. In addition, you can specify the type of discount and choose a label that will be shown on the checkout page.
Step 5: Additional condition
The following options need to be considered in this section:
- Can it be used in conjunction with other discounts?
When you want to use the discount in combination with other discounts, turn on this option.
- Repeat discount for the same customer?
Enable this option if you want an eligible customer to get this discount every time they place an order.
- Apply to products on sale?
Enable this item if you want to apply this discount for On Sale products too.
- Select a priority for this discount
Using this option you can order the priority of discounts. Note that the discount with the highest priority will be shown to customers.
- Validity period
Set the validation time using the date-time-picker.
Step 6: Activation
To activate the discount and create a rule for it, just enable the Activate this discount immediately after it is created and click on the Create button.
How to use dynamic discounts?
Discount rules will be automatically applied to the customer checkout page based on their priority. Customers can identify the discounts with their labels.
Discount actions
You can access your discounts rules in your WordPress dashboard from the SellKit > Discounts.
Using the three-dotted icons placed at the right side of the page for each discount rule, you can Edit, Duplicate, Deactivate and Remove actions.
