How to Setup and Display Smart Coupons
Smart Coupons in SellKit offer a powerful way to manage discounts and promotions directly from your dashboard. These coupons allow you to create targeted discounts based on customer behavior, which helps in building better relationships and increasing repeat purchases.
To make these Smart Coupons available to your customers, SellKit provides a dedicated "Smart Coupon" widget for Elementor editor and "Smart Coupon" block for the block editor. Below is a step-by-step guide on how to set up a smart coupon and then display it on your website.
When crafting Smart Coupons in SellKit, you can leverage various conditions to target customers effectively. Here are some common examples:
Geolocation-Based Promotion: Offer a special discount to customers who have previously placed an order with a billing address in your home country. For example, you could create a "Local Love Discount" to encourage repeat business from domestic customers.
Loyalty Reward Coupon: Reward your loyal customers who have reached a specific number of orders. For instance, a coupon that offers a higher percentage discount to customers who have ordered more than five times from your store, acknowledging their loyalty.
First-Time Buyer Incentive: Encourage customers who have recently made their first purchase to return by offering them a discount on their next order. This could be a time-sensitive offer sent shortly after their initial purchase.
Now let's see how to create a smart coupon:
Step 1: Accessing Smart Coupons
- Log in to your WordPress dashboard.
- Navigate to the SellKit menu on the left sidebar.
- Under SellKit, click on Coupons to access the Smart Coupons feature.
Step 2: Creating a New Smart Coupon
- On the Smart Coupons page, click the Add Smart Coupon button to begin creating a new coupon.
Step 3: Configuring Your Smart Coupon
- Coupon Details: Start by giving your coupon a name. This is a mandatory field that helps you identify the coupon later.
- Product Selection: Decide which products the coupon will apply to. You can add filters to specify products or categories, or leave it without a filter to apply to all products.
- Eligibility: Set conditions for who is eligible to see and use the coupon. This could be all customers, first-time buyers, or customers who have spent a certain amount and much more.
- Discount Settings: Choose the type of discount (e.g., percentage, fixed cart, or fixed product) and specify the discount amount.
- Additional Conditions: Here, you can set various restrictions like minimum spend, expiration date, and usage limits to control how the coupon is used.
Step 4: Enabling the Coupon Widget
Enable the option "Add to the content in a page/post". When enabled, you can use the coupon you created on any page or post of your website using Smart Coupon widget.
Step 5: Activating Your Smart Coupon
- Before finalizing, ensure that you check the Activate this coupon immediately after it is created option if you want the coupon to be active right away.
- Click the Create button to save and activate your smart coupon.
How to Display the Smart Coupon to Customers
Once you have configured your smart coupon, you need to display it to your visitors and customers. SellKit provides a Smart Coupon widget and block that you can use to place your coupon on any page or post.
Keep in mind that the coupon will be displayed in a web page only when its conditions are met.
To add the Smart Coupon widget to a page in Elementor:
- Open a desired page with Elementor.
- Search for the Smart Coupon widget and drag it to the desired location on the page.
- Now you can customize the appearance of the coupon block on your page.
To add the Smart Coupon widget to a page in the block editor:
- In the block editor, insert the the Smart Coupon block.
- This block will automatically adjust based on your pre-defined coupon rules (you can create and define coupon rules from WordPress admin > SellKit > Coupons).
- You can modify the content and customize the appearance using the options in the block settings in the sidebar.
